Overview

All Orchestro participants, sometimes referred to as agents, can fulfill one or more of four defined roles: shipper, origin carrier, middle-mile carrier, and last-mile carrier.

For example, a participant may choose to function as a shipper, origin carrier, last mile carrier and a middle mile carrier.

• Shipper: The Shipper in Orchestro is the company that initiates the shipment of goods. They provide details about the items to be shipped.

• Origin Carrier: The origin Carrier is responsible for transporting goods and delivering packages.

• Middle Mile Carrier: The middle mile Carrier is responsible for transporting goods over long distances between the origin and final destination.

• Last Mile Carrier: The last-mile carrier plays the final role in the Orchestro network, ensuring the shipment reaches the final destination.
